I have been an athlete my entire life and despite serious knee and ankle injuries, I still can’t truly explain the love I have for basketball. As a 47 year old, my goal was not simply to show up and try to play…but to keep playing at the physical, high-level that I have been used to all my life.
My goal was simple: can the team at Y.E.S. Fitness create personalized sessions that will allow me to play despite the inevitable injuries and fatigue that comes with a long hoop season? Thankfully, Chris and Michelle both said Y.E.S. to basketball if I said Y.E.S. (i.e. committing) to a long-term program. I signed up for the Y.E.S. Customized training and have not looked back since.
I cannot remember exactly when I started with Y.E.S. Fitness, but I can say that basketball season has not been a problem for over a decade. I have also noticed that I am doing so much more than my peers who don’t have any kind of a structured and varied session plan in place. I don’t get tired from moving furniture around in the house, from those crazy yard work weekends and from the volunteer efforts I do at my church. Y.E.S., the goal was to play basketball but the reality is I still feel young, I am very active and I see the results in everyday living…and I still demand a double-team most nights playing against the young bucks! Thank you Y.E.S. Fitness for your dedication to me, for being adaptable and for the physical results.
